The first week of oreintation at the school was something that Donatello had never found to be quite that resourceful, at least for himself. It wasn't that he was against the social aspect of what the school offered for new comers, no he was actually quite social when it came down to things. He tried his best not to judge and how prejudice against the other species his kind shared with the school. It wasn't exactly an easy one, the wolves easily irriated him and the vegetarian vampires really made him wonder. If was a wonder that he was even still sane at this point if you thought about it too long. Though the wolves weren't his only reason for avoiding the social gatherings of orientation this year, no it was something more. Humans were inhabiting and he figured he would be selfless and avoid them for their own safety, and well you know so he wouldn't look like some crazed vampire giving the wolves a reason to be more against his kind.
But despite the his reasonings why he didn't want to come into contact with the humans he couldn't just sit up in his room for the duration of the school year. That would a tad bit pathetic and he was defiantly not pathetic and he wasn't giving up anything. Besides, being slightly territorial, he was here first and he wasn't one to back down even if it meant that he'd kill. But to his displeasure he was limited to walking out in the sunlight this year seeing as he would look like a million sparkling diamonds and expose his race, that would be a bad thing to do. It was why he was roaming the halls on the partly sunny day instead of on the football pitch or somewhere else outside. But it wasn't exactly something he minded all that much, it gave him time to explore. Despite the fact that the student population was on the small size the castle the school was located in was rather large and he hadn't gotten the full chance to explore it fully. He figured he could work on that today as long as his attention was directed somewhere else.
But as he rounded a familiar corner of the schools corridors his usually straight lips curved upward into what some would consider a smirk. He defiantly wasn't getting anywhere further then this corridor anytime soon, it was the music wing of the school, well located in the grand autitorium. It was also Donatello's favourite spot to spend hours upon hours. This admiration for music started almost instantly in his immortal life, once he heard it he was hooked. Though he liked music that was classic, had real music to it not the crap that some people tried to pass of as music. It annoyed him to no end. Not only did he love to listen, he loved to play it especially on a piano which the school just happened to have. Slipping silently through the music room door he left it ajar slightly and within seconds he was at the ivory keys of the grand piano, his red trimmed eyes holding a look of almost yearning. He hadn't played in a while but it didn't take long for his fingers to find the keys and start to move. Instantly he was playing a melody he'd thought of in his mind, one that just came to him but flowed nicely through the instruments.
